Cooking and Eating

As the heart of the home, the kitchen should be designed as a warm, inviting and generously proportioned space, seamlessly incorporating areas for dining and relaxation. The use of natural materials—locally sourced flagstone flooring, natural stone surfaces and bespoke ironmongery—paired with a palette inspired by the surrounding countryside.

Bathing

A generously proportioned bathtub—where space permits—serves as a key feature, creating a setting for relaxation and retreat. Bathrooms should be conceived as a natural extension of the home’s overall design language, with each space thoughtfully designed to express its own distinct character. The use of natural materials, such as stone & timber, introduces warmth and authenticity.

Relaxing

When time allows for relaxation, it is important to have a space which is warm and comfortable, whether as an intimate, snug-style family space or a more formal drawing room. An open fire or log burner helps to create warmth and atmosphere, whilst the furniture and soft furnishings create the required comfort. I love layering of textures and tones, whether within a neutral palette or a more vibrant scheme, complemented by the use of sumptuous, soft natural fabrics.

Slumbering

A bedroom should embody comfort, warmth and quiet luxury, while expressing the unique personality of its occupant. Rich, tactile materials—linen, velvet, wool and fur—are layered to create depth, softness and visual interest. Colour is deeply personal, and should be curated to complement the wider design narrative of the home, whether light and uplifting or dark and evocative.

Other spaces

All supporting spaces within a home, including entrance halls, studies, swimming pools, gyms, cinema rooms, bars, entertaining areas, loggias and boot rooms, should be cohesively integrated with the principal design scheme and afforded the same level of attention and detail.

Each project is unique and reflects the quality of their workmanship and achieves the desired result of creating the perfect home.
