Cotswold Farm
Renovation and Restoration
Renovation and Restoration
We were approached by a private client and asked to carry out the renovation, extension and conversion of this former working farm sitting just outside the village of Great Tew. We worked closely with the client on the design as the project evolved, changing plans and gaining permissions for all new ideas. The central feature of this project was the need for fluidity and the amalgamation of the various farm buildings. The use of the local Great Tew stone was essential to enable the converted buildings to fit comfortably with the original Grade II listed farmhouse. The result was a truly beautiful family home surrounded by landscaped gardens and sitting in the middle of the Cotswold countryside.
Interiors
Francesca worked closely with the client to interpret his design ideas. Making the various different buildings work together was our primary objective. Natural stone and wood featured prominently. As is evident from the photos, there was a wish for strong colour in the furnishings and art. The linear form of the original buildings posed a real challenge. Creating a flow of colours and themes allowed us to solve this problem.
Each project is unique and reflects the quality of their workmanship and achieves the desired result of creating the perfect home.
