Renovation and Restoration
We purchased this historic Grade II listed farmhouse with barns and a cottage in the middle of the Cotswold village of Evenlode. We renovated the existing farmhouse, converted the barn into living space and joined the spaces together to create a 6 bedroom home with abundant living space. By retaining the original features and using reclaimed materials we preserved the character of the listed farmhouse whilst creating a modern comfortable family home. The local Cotswold stone was used in this project, in order to fit in with the existing stone. We then sold the property on the open market.
Interiors
We designed the interior architecture to be complementary to the traditional building yet classic contemporary in style. Original beams were retained and reclaimed wood was used to add character where appropriate. The focus was on using the natural materials of stone and wood and the colours were chosen to bring the outside in. The owners subsequently commissioned Francesca to complete the interiors with furniture and soft furnishings. She worked closely with the client to interpret her own design style.
