Design and Build
We purchased the site of a Grade II listed blacksmith’s forge, workshop and cottage in the centre of this Cotswold village. We designed and built a 5,000 sq ft house and renovated the barns and cottage. The design focused on the central courtyard and the privacy this gave within the village setting. The stonework was designed to complement the adjacent manor house. We finished this home to our own design and then sold the property privately.
Interiors
The interior architecture was designed to give the impression that the house had always been there. We installed reclaimed beams, timber flooring and panelling, an antique French limestone fireplace, antique lights, and a Cotswold flagstone floor. The internal photographs show the house dressed for sale.
